Cromlix was first built as Cromlix Cottage in 1874, burned in 1878 and was rebuilt in 1880. The Drummond family enlarged it around the turn of the 20th century. It became a hotel in 1981 and has been owned by Andy and Kim Murray since 2013. The grounds hold a chapel, a lochan with swans, beehives, chickens and a kitchen garden that…

One outdoor court, painted in Wimbledon's green and purple. It is the smallest tennis offering in this collection and it is here because of whose court it is. It came through the 2026 redevelopment intact. The hotel's activities page lists tuition on the court, so ask the team what is available…

The wellness offering sits in the woodland beside the lochan. Guests book signature treatments, a sauna and a cold plunge. Yoga mats can be unrolled outdoors or in the room, and mindfulness cards are provided for walks through the grounds.

Cradle is the fine-dining room, with space for 16 guests and a menu built on the estate and Scottish producers under Executive Head Chef James Mearing. The Garden Room is the informal counterpart, seating up to 65 behind floor-to-ceiling windows that face the front lawn.

The court is outdoors and the Stirlingshire weather is changeable. Late spring through early autumn gives the longest light, the gardens in flower and the best odds of dry play.
Ask the team about tuition on the court before you arrive, and pack your own racquets. The court is easy to miss on the grounds and the hotel's website does not lead with it. After play, book the sauna and cold plunge beside the lochan.
Dunblane railway station is a 10-minute taxi ride away, with services on the East and West Coast main lines. The hotel can arrange transfers through reception.
