Eighteen Holes to a Lake of Its Own
The resort's 18-hole championship course, laid out by architect Thomas Himmel through open meadow and mature stands of trees, wraps a private lake at its heart. At the turn sits Seehütte10, sometimes called Germany's loveliest halfway house — a lakeside terrace for regional snacks, home-made cakes, and a long look at the Chiemgau mountains before playing back in over seventeen and eighteen.

Executive Chef Edip Sigl holds three Michelin stars at es:senz, the resort's gourmet restaurant, built on a philosophy the kitchen calls Chiemgau Pur: a short list of exacting, organic, largely regional ingredients rather than excess. Sommelier Iiro Lutter, awarded five red grapes by Gault&Millau, curates the cellar. Es:senz belongs to Les Grandes Tables du Monde, and the resort as a whole now carries two Michelin Keys.
