The Resort at Pelican Hill is a Palladian-inspired luxury resort on 504 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Newport Coast. With two Tom Fazio-designed ocean-view championship courses, the iconic Coliseum Pool (1.1 million gallons in a Roman amphitheater design), private Bungalows and Villas, a 22-treatment-room Spa, and direct access to Crystal Cove State Beach, Pelican Hill is Southern California's premier golf resort.
- Two Tom Fazio 18-hole championship layouts — Ocean North (par 71) and Ocean South (par 70) — both cut along Pacific blufftops
- Ocean South's 15–18 finishing stretch is consistently ranked among the most demanding closing runs in California resort golf
- 1.1-million-gallon Coliseum Pool, one of the largest circular pools in the world, ringed by private cabanas
- Crystal Cove State Beach access directly from the resort — an 1,100-acre protected coastal park
- 22-treatment-room spa with California coastal-inspired therapies; bungalow and villa accommodations sit within walking distance of both clubhouses
The Courses
- Ocean North Course — 18 holes, par 71, designed by Tom Fazio
- Ocean South Course — 18 holes, par 70, designed by Tom Fazio
Ocean South Course · 13th (Par 3)
A short 113-yard par-3 with two separate greens to choose from on any given day — the pin assignment changes the angle, the club, and the entire shot shape, making it uniquely replayable. The hole sits on an elevated shelf above the Pacific with Tom Fazio bunkering framing both target surfaces.

On Property
Year-round
Newport Beach averages over 300 days of sunshine; fall and early winter deliver the clearest Pacific horizon with no marine haze.
On the Ocean South, hole 13 offers a choice of two separate greens — tell your caddie which pin position you want before you tee off, as the line changes entirely. Early tee times on the North course let you play the clifftop holes before the marine layer fully retreats.

Features &
Amenities
The Resort at Pelican Hill spreads across 504 coastal acres in Newport Beach, anchored by two Tom Fazio-designed courses, a Forbes Five-Star spa built around a Roman-inspired water colonnade, and shuttle access to Crystal Cove State Park beach.

36-Hole Tom Fazio Golf
Ocean North (par 71, 6,945 yards) and Ocean South (par 70, 6,580 yards) both deliver Pacific Ocean views from nearly every hole, framed by sage and eucalyptus terrain. Fazio designed both courses to move with the natural topography rather than reshape it, resulting in layouts that play differently depending on coastal wind. Nearly 300 days of annual sunshine extends the golf season year-round.

The Spa and Acqua Colonnades
The Forbes Five-Star spa spans 23,000 square feet with 22 private treatment rooms. Its centerpiece is the Acqua Colonnades — twin Roman-inspired sanctuaries for men and women, each with a 28-foot Palladian rotunda, wall of flowing water, saltwater soaking tubs, steam rooms, and saunas. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 45 minutes before treatments to use the thermal circuit.

Crystal Cove Beach Access
A complimentary coach shuttle connects the resort to Crystal Cove State Park, one of the last preserved stretches of Southern California coastline. Towels, beach bags, chairs, and umbrellas are included. On-site guides offer paddle board lessons, sea lion kayak eco-tours, and scuba instruction, making this a substantive beach program rather than a parking privilege.
