Request an early morning equestrian trail ride before the canyon heats up — the guided routes through Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve skirt ancient oaks and a year-round creek, and you're back for breakfast before the golf course fills. Book at least 24 hours ahead; rides operate Tuesday through Sunday.
